Illusio F.A.Q

From the feedback we got for Illusio we decided to start a little F.A.Q to answer the most common questions that may rise during a play. Do not hesitate to participate using our forum to post your questions and/or rules adjustment proposals.

Q: Can Gemelos combine any type of components?
A: Yes. Gemelos is one of the most gifted magicians! If this sounds too much for you, you may, however, limit his capability to combine only the same type of components.

Q: Can Gemelos combine components from my hand or from a trick under realization?
A: No. Gemelos can only combine components placed into backstage (yours or another player’s backstage). On top of that he can combine components from the same backstage only and he can’t combine components if one (or both) of the component is placed on a trick under realization or is in a player’s hand.

Q: Can Shaozu exchange more than one card at once?
A: Yes, under the condition that he gives as many cards as he gets from the opponent backstage (neither more nor less).

Q: Can Providence get more than 8 cards in hand?
A: No. She gets as many cards as any other player but her card’s turn over will be quicker and so more accurate.

Q: Is Maestros Bonus applicable on a level 1 or 2 points trick with Grand card(s) on it?
A: No. Maestros gets his bonus only if realizes “real” level 3 trick at least.

Q: Can I use a Transform card or a magician’s ability on a component already in use for a trick under realization or on display?
A: No, every component already in use can’t be changed no more by a card or by a magician’s ability. The only time when you can act on components is when they’re still in the backstage. This means that you’ll have to directly put a component on a trick under realization to be sure that nobody will change it.

Q: Can I play more than one “Grand” or “Déjà vu” or “Encore” card on a trick on display?
A: Yes, as long as the trick is on display and you have enough available actions to play!

Q: Is there a way to pick an Objective card directly from the deck instead of the Contest?
A: No. As you have to know what the required components to get an Objective card are, it has to be revealed before in the Contest.

Q: Can I still find somewhere the original collector edition cubic box to buy?
A: Yes, exclusively on our web store: https://www.funforge.fr/store/
